Thinking Forks
The meal was developed with Thinking Forks, the team behind Yoga Bar. Their work on The Core Meal covers formulation and the path from development to production.
A meal is somewhere concrete to begin.
Inexpensive ingredients can provide complete nutrition. Access also depends on what people can afford and the time and facilities they have to prepare food. The Core Meal brings that nutrition into an affordable meal that’s ready to eat without a kitchen.
Building a viable food business is part of making that work last. The wider purpose is for more people to eat well, including through the work of other food makers and organisations.
We want people to be able to work with others in their own communities toward that goal. Local knowledge can help discover where a ready-to-eat meal would be useful, and where an existing programme is already a good way to help.
